The Campus of Santa Marta of the University Jorge Tadeo Lozano, is a space for science, art and innovation located in a geographical region of great natural, economic and cultural wealth, which privileges the academic, scientific and social activity of our institution whose goal is to contribute to the knowledge and strengthening of a comprehensive highly qualified human resources, that will allow conservation, respect and responsible use of natural resources.

Undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs are the academic portfolio of this venue, which is accompanied by a continuous research and creative and innovative consultancy work. This has allowed, in harmony with the academic activity, to create a Center for Researching and Consulting in Marine and Environmental Sciences and a Marine Observatory that provides tools to society for decision-making regarding the conservation, management and appropriate use of the Colombian seas.
